Special thanks to our ole buddy DEKE DICKERSON for sharing these rare shots of Vince's Angletone PROMO!

FLYING LOVE b/w INDEED I DO

Released on Angle Tone in 1958.   These sides, along with 2 more of Vince's appeared on Live It Up, a Buffalo Bop comp CD that was released three weeks after Vince died.  Unfortunately, this was the only record Vince didn't have and he'd been looking for it for many years.

SODA POP b/w DO YOUR BEST

Released on Tait Records.  Record number 101.

HUBBA HUBBA DING DING b/w CRAZY ABOUT YOU

Released on End Records, label number E-1019. Vince is probably best known among rockabillies for the A side of this 45.  This record has also been reproduced with a blue label and black ink.

Called "End's best" by Norton Records, "Hubba Hubba Ding Ding" was covered by the Sugar King Boys in 1996.

DRAGGIN' ALL NIGHT b/w SODA POP

Released on Felsted, a subsidiary of London Records, this record has a label number of FD 247.  "Draggin' All Night" is a great hot rod song, worthy of an addition on any compilation disc.  "Soda Pop" is reworked, and not the same version as the Tait release.

I'VE BEEN AROUND YOUR DOOR...BEFORE

b/w I DON'T KNOW WHY

Released on 1223 Records with a label number of U-0475.  This was Vince's last release, in 1968.  It was produced by Doug and Link Wray, a Record Factory Production recorded at the legendary Wray's Shack Three Track in Accokeek, Maryland.

Grand Daddy's Rockin' volume 5 - LENOX RECORDS, France.

"Vince Maloy is certainly one of the GREAT unknowns.  Based almost exclusively in the New York City area (incorrect) he hit the airwaves like a breeze block loaded with dynamite.  This may well be his first foray into the vinyl maze that was NYC (with about 10 different releases a week from this city alone!)  "Flying Love" was issued around Oct 1957 on Thomas Rominsons' ANGLETONE label and unfortunately the old adage "poor sound + grim distribution = naff sales" was never so obvious.  Maly next slipped into George Goldner's clutches and blasted out "Hubba Hubba Ding Ding" for End Records.  A brief encounter with Felsted Records ("Draggin' All Night") resulted in much the same story as the Angletone disc and he ended up on the obscure Tait diskery where he bellowed "Do Your Best".  Maloy's where-abouts are unknown to me I'm afraid but if I ever find him you'll be the first to know."

"Vince Maloy is certainly still one of the great unknowns and no matter how hard I've tried to track him down, he just won't play ball.  Still, this is the flipside of his rare ANGLETONE release and apart from the wailing cats chorus trying to disrupt things during the solo, shows Vince in his usual fine form."
